The shoes that the men have to wear whenever they go to the mosque to pray are called shibshib al shargy. They are sandals just made of leather. A lot of the times they have arabic words and saying all over it, but they can get them plain if they would like. These shoes are very essential to them because if they don't wear them then they cant pray.

Women
The women of Saudi Arabia always have to wear an abaya whenever they go out in public. An abaya is like a big, long cloak that women wear over their original dress to hide every part of their legs and arms. They are usually made of silk.
The women have four choices for their headdresses. The majority of them are made out of silk, cotton, wool, and polyester.
1. The shayla/ tarha is a scarf that only covers the hair.
2. The nekab has a tarha and a face veils that has eye spaces.
3. The ghotwa has a tarha also, but this has a veil that fully covers the face.
4. A hijab is very similar to a ghowta.
The dress is different from men in this case because the women are allowed to wear colored clothing underneath their cloaks. Saudi women enjoy the fashion and express it through their clothing.
Women are only allowed to wear earrings, watches, and rings. The only reason they are allowed to wear earrings is because it will be covered by their abaya. They also can not wear more than one pair.
The shoes that women have to wear in Saudi Arabia are comfortably worn as flip-flops or sandals. They can wear whatever color shoe they want because the abaya will cover their feet. On special occasions though they are allowed to wear high heels.
Some of the restrictions are that the dress has to cover the knees, dresses or skirts that have slits are not allowed. All shirts and dresses have to be properly buttoned. Leggings and shorts are not allowed to be worn. T-shirts that have saying or phrases on them are considered disrespectful. They can not wear two piece bathing suits and if they do then they will be heavily punishments.
